Are your dimmer switches compatible with LED bulbs?

Our dimmer switches can be used with compatible dimmable LED bulbs. Not all LED bulbs are designed to be dimmed, so always check the bulb specification before installation. Using a compatible bulb will also help reduce issues such as flickering or buzzing.

Why might a dimmer switch buzz?

A slight hum can occur with some LED bulbs, but noticeable buzzing can be a sign that the bulb and dimmer aren't fully compatible. Check the specifications of both before use, and speak to a qualified electrician if you're unsure.

Can I fit a dimmer switch in place of a standard light switch?

In many cases, yes, but it will depend on your existing wiring, the circuit and the depth of the back box. Our knurled dimmers require a minimum 35mm back box. We recommend having the installation checked and completed by a qualified electrician.
