Plug Sockets FAQ's

What's the difference between USB-A and USB-C plug sockets?

Both let you charge compatible devices directly from the socket without needing a separate plug adaptor. USB-C is used by many newer phones, tablets and other devices, while USB-A is still common on older charging cables. Check your device and cable before choosing which option you need.

What is the standard height for plug sockets?

Sockets are commonly installed around 450mm from the floor for ease of access, though this isn't a strict requirement for every installation - a qualified electrician can confirm what's right for your project.

Can I replace my existing plug sockets with Brass Bee sockets?

This will depend on your existing wiring and back box, as well as the socket you're replacing it with. Check the product dimensions and requirements before ordering, and have the socket installed by a qualified electrician if you're unsure about compatibility or installation.
